I read on gearslutz about about “Blueprint 3.” The reviews there were pretty mixed so I thought I would check it out myself. I listened to it and honestly I have to say that I am not really impressed. There were a lot of so-so tracks on there. All I can say is that it’s another mediocre outing from Jay-Z.
I’m not going to bother to write a full review because it would be mostly about why I’m not impressed. It just seems like the same formula that’s been going on in the music industry for years now. Let’s make an album with a couple of good tracks and throw in some crap to fill it out. I’m sure it will sell well because it is a Jay-Z album and because of the guest artists.
A side note:
According to Ken Lewis on gearslutz, Just Blaze produced an awesome beat but it didn’t make it in time for the album.
